Mary Fougerousse has been studying classical voice for many years, most recently under Dee Donasco. Between 2008-2011 she participated in a competitive choir and placed 1st in her vocal solo three years in a row moving her on to compete and win at state solo competitions. Mary was also chosen to sing for the Texas Private and Parochial Schools Music Educators Association All-Region choir in 2009 and was a member of the 2009 University of North Texas All-state choir. In the Spring of 2015, she received her BA in German Intellectual History with a Concentration in Music from the University of Dallas. She served as a member of the Collegium Cantorum Choir and was involved in Lyric Theater productions throughout all four of her undergraduate years, most recently starring as Cunegonde in the University’s Mainstage Production of Bernstein’s Candide. Since graduating, she has worked with the Dallas Opera Education Outreach Program as a team leader for their kids summer opera camps and has sung for concerts with Voces Intimae, the St.Thomas Aquinas Choir, the Nasher Sculpture Center and the Dallas Goethe Center. Having grown up in Austria, she is fluent in German and is a firm believer in giving children early exposure to the classical greats, just as she had from a young age. She is honored to be a teacher for RBR Muzik School and cannot wait to share her love for music with your child.
